OpinionX Survey Setup
Create a new OpinionX survey as you normally would. If you're new here, check out our beginners' guide to OpinionX.
To identify each Respondent.io participant on OpinionX, you should:
Add an Identify block to your survey (usually added at the beginning/end).
Set the question to "Please enter your Participant ID from Respondent.io here:"
Change the Identify category to Custom.
Name the custom identifier as "ID".
Update the prompt text to "Paste your ID here".
Check the "Remove 'Skip' Option" customization to require an answer.
OpinionX surveys autosave whenever you make changes to the setup. Once you're ready, hit the SHARE button in the top-right corner of your OpinionX dashboard to grab your survey's participant link:

Respondent.io Setup
Select ‘Survey’ or ‘Unmoderated Task’ as the methodology while setting up your project to recruit high quality participants. Refer to this guide on setting up a project on Respondent, if you new to their platform.
Paste the survey link you copied from the SHARE menu on OpinionX into the ‘Link to task’ field of your project on Respondent.io and add any special instructions that you want to pass on to participants before they join your survey.
Copy Respondent.io's automatically generated Completion Confirmation URL, proceed with your audience details and screener questions, and then publish your project on Respondent.io.

Finish Page Redirects
Return to OpinionX and click Edit Finish Page
at the bottom of the Setup Tab:
Paste your Completion URL from Respondent.io into the Redirect Link field on OpinionX.
You can choose whether you want it to automatically redirect once the participant finishes the survey (Auto-Redirect) or to show a static page with text, an image, and a redirect button (Static Page). The Auto-Redirect option will result in a more automated process with fewer issues, so I would recommend using that format.

Invite participants from Respondent.io to your OpinionX survey
Once you're ready, jump over to Respondent.io to invite participants who have applied to your project and are qualified according to your screener questions.

Track completes in project dashboard and pay
As invited participants complete your survey and reach your finish page, where they'll be redirected back to Respondet.io via your completion URL, you can review their status on Respondent.io's Project Dashboard, under the Completes Tab.
You can select participants in bulk and pay them, with no need for individual reconciliation of responses. Use the Participant IDs on the completes tab to map individual participants to their respective survey results, and use the messaging feature to clear up any inconsistencies or follow-ups.

Troubleshooting your OpinionX + Respondent.io integration
Q: The Completes Tab on the project dashboard displays that a participant has taken the survey, but I do not see their response on OpinionX?
A: The Participant likely entered the incorrect Participant ID in the Identify block of your OpinionX survey. You can use the timestamp of the participant response in OpinionX vs. the alert from Respondent or look for similar Participant IDs to the one displayed in the Project Dashboard > Completes tab.
If you are unable to reconcile an individual response to the participant, you can message the participant and inquire about the specific response to identify their submission record. You could also ask them to redo the task, if tracking the response down is unsuccessful.
If you need further assistance using OpinionX with Respondent’s completion URLs, please contact Respondent.io via the help widget on your account dashboard or send an email to [email protected].
