🆓 All features mentioned here are available on OpinionX's free tier

Cint runs the world's largest research marketplace for getting your surveys answered -- over 200M surveys are completed by participants from 130 countries via the Cint marketplace every year.

1. Finish Pages

Create a new OpinionX survey (if you're new here, check out our beginners' guide to OpinionX). On the Survey Setup Tab, scroll to the bottom of the page and hit Edit Finish Page.

On the Finish Page setup, click the button that says "Add Another Finish Page". This will give you multiple finish pages. Configure one for ✅ Completes and the other for ❌ Screen Outs, each with their own redirect link:

2. Branching Logic

Using Multiple Choice and/or Rating Scale blocks at the start of your survey, add the questions you'll use to identify and remove participants that don't match your recruitment criteria.

Here's an example of a Multiple Choice question asking for the respondent's country and sending Americans to the ❌ Screen Outs page. On the customization menu (⚙️), you'll find checkboxes for Answer Branching and Remove Skip Option.

3. Cint Setup

Login to Cint and create a new project. Select category, click Continue, and define basic settings such as recruitment regions, profiling, and quotas if needed.

Incidence rate = What percentage of your recruited participants do you expect will be able to complete the survey without getting screened out? The lower the incidence rate (closer to 0%), the higher the price will be.

Click 'Create project', name the project, and fill out the contact information.

4. Cint Screen-Outs

Now that the survey has been configured to screen out respondents and send them to a specific finish page, they need to be redirected to Cint's "screen out" page. Project-specific screen-out links can be found in Cint, like in the example below:

Copy the links for Screen Out and Complete, return to OpinionX (keep Cint open in another tab), and paste these URLs into the "redirect link" field on your OpinionX survey's finish pages.

5. Survey Links

Go to the Enrichment Tab and click Manual Setup.

Create a Unique field for each of the parameters you need to pass between Cint and OpinionX. In the example below, I'm creating fields for "sid" (survey ID) and "externalid" (External ID), which are commonly used parameters on Cint:

Hit SAVE and this will open your Enrichment Tab like this, with columns for the parameters you added (highlighted below). Click the button for Hidden Fields:

On the Hidden Fields menu, switch the Query Type to match Cint's needs (typically this is a ? character, as shown in the screenshot) and then hit Copy Link.

6. Launch Your Survey

Paste this link into the "Link Template" section on Cint. Confirm everything is working correctly, ideally by running some test completions and deleting the data afterwards from OpinionX. Once you're happy it's all working correctly, click 'Confirm' on Cint, accept their terms and conditions, and hit "Run Project". Cint personnel will contact you soon* and they will test the survey and links for you.

*Note: This part of the process is always painful. Safe yourself the hassle and use a better recruitment panel like Prolific that doesn't require manual approval / intervention. This is not a paid ad for Prolific, I just know it will save us both a lot of time and stress (trust me, it's inevitable otherwise).

7. Confirming Completes

Even though you have everything set up via URL parameter links and auto-screening logic, Cint verifies everything manually in order to process participant payments. I don't have any specific steps to offer here except to say good luck :)
