There are multiple ways to distribute your OpinionX survey:
Email Invites
Email Invites allows you to import a list of email addresses and send a unique participation link directly to each person, which will allow you to automatically link their email and other data against their participant profile instead of having to ask for it in your survey.
How do I create Email Invites for my survey?
Start by going to the Enrichment Tab on the setup page:
Import a .csv with the data you want associated with each invitation. You can either import a simple list of email addresses or a more detailed spreadsheet with other types of data. Here are the data types you can import via the Enrichment Tab:
Email → which can be used to trigger email invites with your unique links.
Categorical → many people share the same answer (eg. country, gender, industry), can later be used to filter results or compare differences by group.
Unique → free text, usually used for things like name or address, where each person has a different answer.
Once your upload is finished, you can use your unique links in one of two ways:
The Invites button will send your unique links to each of the email addresses you imported (note: $0.10 charge per invite sent). Don't worry, it won't send them right away; once you click this button you'll be given a menu for configuring the invite email and even sending test versions before proceeding.
Alternatively, the Unique Links button will download a .csv file that contains the unique link for each row in your imported spreadsheet. Customers on the Analyze tier or higher can export their list of unique links for free.
Once you press "Send Emails", you'll be taken to Stripe to confirm your payment details. Each email invite costs $0.10 and there is a minimum order value of $1 per batch sent.
Email addresses are shown along with a "state" that describes the level of action taken so far on OpinionX:
Pending → the email address was imported, but no email has been sent yet.
Sent → the invitation has been sent but they have not completed the survey yet.
Complete → the invitee has completed the survey and is now displayed on the main results pages of your survey dashboard.
FAQs
You can send a test email to your own email address, for free, before sending out your survey invites to your imported list of emails. Just click the "Send Test" button when you've finished drafting the subject and body text of your email.
Deleting an invitee from the "Imported Participants" table will remove their data from the results page too if they have already completed the survey.
Each invite link is unique and corresponds to the invitee's email address on a one-to-one basis.
The invitee's email address is automatically associated against their participant profile in your survey results.
You currently can set a participation link to be single-use (ie. closed after the first participation is completed and logged).
You can choose whether to send email invites only to new participants or to previous invitees that haven't completed it yet (ie. reminder emails).
