Email Invites: Import a list of emails and send personal survey links to each person
Email Invites: Import a list of emails and send personal survey links to each person
Updated over a week ago

πŸ‘‰ Inviting participants by email is only available to users on the Ask tier or higher and costs $0.10 per email sent.

There are multiple ways to distribute your OpinionX survey:

Email Invites allows you to import a list of email addresses who each receive a custom participation link via email ($0.10/email). Once these participants complete your survey, their email address is automatically associated against their participant profile on OpinionX.

You can import survey participants from multiple places within OpinionX, such as from the main "Share" button in the top-right corner of the survey builder or from the "Survey Participants" table like in the screenshot below:

Once you pick a file to upload, you can edit the list to edit or remove emails from the list:

After confirming your list, you'll then be shown a window where you can configure your invitation with an email subject and body text, along with options for who you want to send the invitations to (eg. only newly added addresses or past invitees that have not completed your survey yet).

Once you press "Send Emails", you'll be taken to Stripe to confirm your payment details. Each email invite costs $0.10 and there is a minimum order value of $1 per batch sent.

Email addresses are shown along with a "state" that describes the level of action taken so far on OpinionX:

  1. Waiting β†’ the email address was imported, but no email has been sent yet.

  2. Sent β†’ the invitation has been sent but they have not completed the survey yet.

  3. Complete β†’ the invitee has completed the survey and is now displayed on the main results pages of your survey dashboard.

Quick Info

  1. You can send a test email to your own email address, for free, before sending out your survey invites to your imported list of emails. Just click the "Send Test" button when you've finished drafting the subject and body text of your email.

  2. Deleting an invitee from the "Imported Participants" table will remove their data from the results page too if they have already completed the survey.

  3. Each invite link is unique and corresponds to the invitee's email address on a one-to-one basis.

  4. The invitee's email address is automatically associated against their participant profile in your survey results.

  5. You currently can't set a participation link to be single-use (ie. closed after the first participation is completed and logged), however we plan to add this functionality soon.
